Securing a coveted spot on the Matchbook Marketing x MMGY Global mentorship program marked the beginning of an exciting chapter in my career as a social media specialist. Tasked with researching and crafting social media content for the integrated campaign of Princess Cruises, targeting Generation X, I embarked on a journey filled with creativity and strategic thinking. Our aim was to evoke nostalgia and excitement surrounding the original Love Boat, enticing this demographic to book trips with Princess Cruises. Collaborating closely with my team, we developed a campaign sure to make sparks fly, blending innovative ideas with a deep understanding of our audience’s preferences. When we presented our pitch to both Princess Cruises and MMGY Global executives, and the reception was nothing short of electrifying. This experience not only affirmed the value of mentorship but also reinforced my passion for leveraging social media as a powerful tool in shaping brand narratives and driving engagement.
